Obscene? Standard Procedure!
VA statistics claim this is healthcare they provided!
They claim years of denial is healthcare provided. How many ways can the VA lie?
VA: 2 1/2 years
Real world: 20 days

They said it would take two and a half years to get a wheelchair. I can't even get food without a wheelchair.
On May 1, 2015 I began a self-study course in wheelchairs. There are a hundred decisions to make. Every bend in the frame, every little detail must be decided or the chair won't match the patient's need. The order was placed on May 4. My perfect chair was delivered on May 24, 2015.
OUT OF POCKET COST: $4,345.50. NOW I HAVE A WHEELCHAIR, BUT I DON'T HAVE MONEY FOR FOOD!

Denial of healthcare in only two and a half years instead of four and a half! Way to go VA! Only 30 months late!
I GOT LOUD AFTER BEGGING FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS! I YELLED AT MY PRIMARY CARE PRETENDER, DR BANERJEE. It only took her a few seconds in the computer to start the process of getting me a power wheelchair. BUT IT TOOK OVER TWO YEARS OF BEGGING TO GET FRUSTRATED ENOUGH TO YELL AT A DOCTOR!
Evaluation and fitting for a wheelchair is a bureaucratic process at the VA, so it normally takes many months.
I KISSED ASS TILL THE COWS CAME HOME AND WENT TO SLEEP. THEN I GOT SERIOUS ABOUT ASS KISSING.
With a smile, a VA petty bureaucrat decided to be kind by starting the evaluation process... in weeks instead of months. MORE MASSIVE ASS KISSING GOT THE REST OF THE ROUTINE EXPEDITED AS WELL! Instead of four to eight months like I was originally told, the design process only took weeks.
Next, I got unbelievably lucky! During the first appointment to design my wheelchair, an event occurred which benefited me, benefited the woman doing the fitting and benefitted the VA.
Months before this appointment, I visited a wheelchair vendor who supplies the VA. I met Glen. He delivers and sets up new wheelchairs for patients. Glen was emphatic about the chair I needed. He brought one out to show and describe why it would be perfect for me.
During the fitting process, Glen entered the room with that wheelchair. He just returned from delivering it, but it was rejected by the patient. I listened to the discussion with interest. It was a serious problem for the woman who does the fittings. A chair that didn't work for the patient was a strike against her, and a major headache in paperwork.
People, this is not a difficult equation! Gimme that chair now instead of waiting a year or two. With little effort, it was an exact fit for me.
Instead of four years, the VA provided me a wheelchair in only two and a half years! Surely it's a new VA speed record!
It's a box!
A Mystery Box!

Another fine example of VA Healthcare Denial By Delay!
Way to go VA! Only 15 months late!
A mystery package was delivered on June 26, 2022
Is this VA humor?
I've seen boxes and this was definitely a box. No doubt about it.
Yipeee! 118 MILLION results! It's officially a Fad Gone Mad!
Time for the very first VA Exposé "Unboxing Video!"
A year and three months ago a VA doctor in the emergency room prescribed a toilet seat riser. I broke my hip and the doctor was concerned that I'd fall again, just trying to transfer between wheelchair and toilet. Today it was delivered, a year and three months late.
Far too late is absolutely normal for the Phoenix VA. It was no longer needed nine months ago, so it was delivered precisely on time. VA time that is.
Over a year delay
More than two years to get repaired!

No doubt the VA claims this as healthcare provided, in their statistics. Once again VA, you're lying! Healthcare delayed is healthcare denied!
This DME was suggested by the director of the Phoenix VA. With a giant smile she claimed to be fixing all the wrong doing by the Phoenix VA. She busily made phone calls and sent messages, played on the VA chat system and promised me all kinds of good would come of it. Department heads and doctors were given directions till the bats flew south for the winter. Do bats fly south?
Not even one! NOT EVEN ONE OF HER PROMISES WAS KEPT BY THE PEOPLE SHE DIRECTED TO HANDLE THE ISSUES.
A year and a half later I got the promised DME, through other means within the VA. It broke about two years later. It took another two years to get it repaired.
THIS IS VA EFFICIENCY AT IT'S BEST!
